The next meeting of the group will be on Wednesday 18 November 2015 immediately after the evening Mass at 7.30 pm. The group will not be able to meet immediately prior to Advent because of the Rome trip. In the meeting on 18 November, we will begin reflecting on the Gospel of Luke – in readiness for the new Liturgical Year which begins the first Sunday of Advent (29th November). Why not come to the prayer meeting to prepare for the arrival of Jesus at Christmas? In The Joy of the Gospel (146) Pope Francis encourages us to devote periods of quiet time to the things or people we love. Come and reflect on two great songs of praise – the Magnificat and the Benedictus.
The prayer meeting will last for just half an hour and will follow the process of Lectio Divina, which is gentle and relaxing. The group is open to members of all three parishes. Why not come along and try it, and experience the Joy of the Gospel? Make a resolution to follow Luke’s Gospel throughout the coming liturgical year!
